Support The Exposure Project!

Hey Everyone,

Over the last few weeks, we at The Exposure Project have started the involved process of organizing our next publication. We received an inspiring amount of exceptional work during our latest call for entries period and couldn't be happier with the selected photographers. It has always been our goal to continually expand the breadth of this project and unite a diversity of vision, process and philosophy within contemporary photography. Issue 4 marks our largest and most ambitious collaboration to date. But we need your help!

As it stands right now, we are lacking the necessary funds for the production of issue 4. In light of that, we are asking you to take a moment to consider donating to The Exposure Project. There is no minimum donation and all the proceeds will benefit the publication and distribution of issue 4. I am fully aware that economic times are hard right now, however, any contribution, no matter how small, would greatly benefit this project. Your generous contributions will be noted and printed in the back of the publication.

The 11th Annual Postcards From The Edge Benefit

On January 9 & 10, Metro Pictures will host the 11th Annual Postcards From The Edge Benefit. There will be over 1,500 original, postcard-sized works of art on view/for sale. In addition, all works are democratically priced at $75 a piece.

Also, both Anastasia Cazabon and I will have pieces hanging for the benefit. We are extremely excited to have the opportunity to share a wall with so many incredible artists. Confirmed artists include:

For anyone unfamiliar with the mission of this unique benefit, the statement below should clear everything up:

"Postcards From the Edge is a Visual AIDS benefit show and sale of original, postcard-sized works on paper by established and emerging artists. All works are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. The works are signed on the back and exhibited so the artists' signatures cannot be seen. While buyers receive a list of all participating artists, they don't know who created which piece until purchased.

All proceeds support the work of Visual AIDS, utilizing contemporary art for AIDS advocacy and historicizing the work of HIV-positive artists while offering career support."

Mass Art's 3rd Annual Photography Book & Print Auction

The photography department at Mass Art will host their 3rd Annual Book and Print Auction Wednesday, December 10th from 7 - 9 pm. All of the proceeds will benefit the printing of the 2009 senior photography thesis catalogue. So anyone in the Boston area who wants to support our class, enjoy some refreshments and peruse all of the photography monographs we'll be selling should come on by. Hasted Hunt Supports Obama

The photo community has shown some serious support for Barack Obama in the last couple of weeks. In the latest manifestation, Hasted Hunt has just announced a limited edition print of Martin Schoeller's portrait of Obama taken in 2004.

It is an 11" by 14" archival pigment print, edition of 500, signed and numbered by Martin Schoeller, $250 (plus shipping and handling). Additionally, 100 % of the proceeds will go directly to the Obama Campaign, so show some support by investing in the future.
