T.J. Proechel e-mailed me today to share some photographs from his new series Dream House, a project documenting the foreclosure crisis currently plaguing the United States. The images possess an incredible amount of sensitivity and humanity. The photographs from Dream House, however, are not entirely without irony (the project's title is itself somewhat ironic). Though often bittersweet, Proechel's images frequently contain wry juxtapositions that bring playfulness to an otherwise somber predicament.
Be sure to visit Proechel's website to see the rest of the images, which are all (without question) beautifully executed, not to mention socially prescient.
